Image: Savannah Guthrie, Mark Wahlberg, Twitter Screenshots Hollywood legend Mark Wahlberg put the industry to shame on Ash Wednesday as he told NBC’s “Today” show, “I do not deny my faith.”
The statement came during an interview where he wore the ash on his forehead, which is given to mark the first day of Lent in the Catholic church, as well as a handful of other denominations.
Wahlberg told anchor Savannah Guthrie, “It’s a balance. I don’t want to jam it down anybody’s throat, but I do not deny my faith, that’s an even bigger sin. It’s not popular in my industry.”
Part of the reason he was on the show was to promote the Catholic meditation, prayer, and sleep app “Hallow.”Additionally, Wahlberg said, “(Faith) it’s everything..
