Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a 20-year-old Pakistani citizen, was arrested this week in Canada as he allegedly planned to execute a terror attack in Brooklyn, New York, aiming to target a Jewish center and “slaughter as many Jewish people as possible,” according to U.S. authorities.
Khan was apprehended approximately 12 miles north of the U.S.-Canada border while en route to New York, with intentions to carry out a mass shooting around October 7, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel.
The Department of Justice reported that Khan, who also used the alias Shahzeb Jadoon, had been actively engaging in sharing ISIS propaganda and expressing his support for the terrorist group since November 2023.
