Former Vice President Mike Pence plans on kicking off his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination on June 7, 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa.
According to one source that got in touch with the Daily Caller, Pence will make the announcement with a speech and a campaign video. Pence’s launch speech will be followed by a campaign tour that spans all of Iowa’s 99 counties, per an NBC News report. NBC first reported on this development.
In entering the presidential contest, Pence would become the eighth candidate to throw his hat into the presidential ring. Pence was former President Donald Trump’s running mate in 2016 and 2020. On June 7, Pence is also expected to participate in a CNN Town Hall in Des Moines.
