Floyd County, KY – Multiple law enforcement officers from several different agencies were shot on Thursday evening when they tried to serve papers at a home in northeastern Kentucky.
Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt said sheriff’s deputies were trying to serve papers at a home on Railroad Street in Allen at about 5 p.m. on June 30 when the suspect opened fire on them, WCHS reported.
The suspect barricaded himself in the house, taking his wife and daughter hostage in the process, WLEX reported. Sheriff Hunt said multiple law enforcement officers from different agencies were shot during the gunfight that ensued but he did not release any information about which agencies they belonged to.
