The conversation regarding transgender individuals has changed recently. Much of the focus has been on transgender athletes effectively robbing biological females of opportunities. There’s also plenty to be said of transgenders in the professional sphere doing the same . But the conversation has migrated away from the need to keep women and young girls safe in areas traditionally segregated by sex.
In Oregon, however, the conversation has—in the immortal words of Jen Psaki—circled back, and with the institution of new policies regarding transgender students in schools, some students are speaking up.
