President Joe Biden has taken a major hit in the polls in recent weeks, and now his favorability with one key demographic is suffering as well. New Pew Research polling indicates that Biden is struggling with minority groups. “Though majorities of Black, Hispanic and Asian American adults continue to hold more positive than negative views of Biden’s job performance, approval ratings among each group have dipped significantly over the past two months,” writes Pew. “For example, among Black adults, 67% say they strongly or somewhat approve of the way he is handing his job – down from 85% three months ago.”
In particular, Hispanics seem to be having doubts about the Biden presidency. Democrats have often assumed Hispanics would support leftist candidates on election day. As such, the concern remains that if Biden has alienated the hispanic population, it represents a risk to the Democrat party in 2022.
