Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has accused Meta of putting profit before public interest by reinstating President Donald Trump’s accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
As Slay News reported , Facebook’s parent company Meta decided to end Trump’s suspension on Wednesday.
The company revealed that his accounts on both Facebook and Instagram will be restored “in the coming weeks.”
Trump was hit with a two-year suspension following the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.During an interview on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” on Wednesday, Schiff alleged that Meta is reinstating Trump’s personal account for “profit.”Anchor Joy Reid said, “Donald Trump is the only announced Republican candidate so far for president.“He has just been given back access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts.”Schiff said, “I think Facebook’s decision to reinstate Donald Trump is inexplicable.“It represents, in my view, a total caving in and copping out.“The only motive I can see is a profit motive […]

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats.
