The State Department has just issued this stark and troublesome warning to US citizens still in Afghanistan who want to get out and are either heading to the Kabul airport or are already there at the airport gates: #Afghanistan : Due to threats outside the Kabul airport, US citizens should avoid traveling to the airport and avoid airport gates unless you receive instructions to do so.
